Improved security on your Nest account – how to use bulk assignment to get ready for multi-factor authentication

From mid-April 2024, to improve the security on your Nest account, we are introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA). This means that each time you log in you will need to input a one-time passcode (sent to either your mobile phone or your registered email address).

In preparation for this change you may have noticed the message on your Nest account log-in screens asking you to make sure your email and phone numbers are up to date.

If you have more than one person using the same log-in, you will need to ensure that each user within your organisation has their own username and password. To help with this process, we are adding simple functionality so you can bulk assign all the employer accounts you have to a single user. Details on how to do this are available in the Nest help centre.
